NORMS Project – Alex and Cassie

Commissioned for a school in Western New York, these two waist-up rigs are simple and easy to use. Dynamic spring constraints add automated follow-through to each character's hair, and layer syncing allows fast and easy replacement blinks. This project functioned on a tight budget and a quick schedule, so the characters needed to be easy to work with. All hand replacements include their shirts' cuffs so that the animator can hit poses quickly and believably. These characters remained seated for their entire short, so their legs were drawn in one static pose, with their waists hidden behind desks.
